Tim Milne
Shelton, CT and Burlington - Tim Milne, 56, of Shelton, CT and Burlington, VT, passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born on May 20, 1964, in Burlington, VT to the late Audrey (Kinne) Milne, and the late Frederick (Ted) Milne. Tim was a graduate of Winooski High School, class of 1982, where he was admired and remembered for his athletic skills in football and baseball.
Uncle Buck, Uncle Timmy, Tim the Taper, Buddy, T. No matter how he was referred to, Timmy was one of those people who just embodied light. You see him and suddenly you feel warm inside and all you want to do is hug him. And then he looks at you and smiles that beautiful, amazing smile, with the warmest light in his eyes. And you love him, you can't help but love him, that heart of gold, that contagious laugh, that sense of humor. This world has lost one of the most kind, generous, and genuine human beings. A fighter, who loved life, was always joking and making others laugh - "we got a runner!" Rarely was there a dry eye in the room if Timmy was present. "If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?" Always. Timmy certainly touched the lives of anyone he came into contact with, always leaving a lasting impression.
There is no way to ever express the pain of losing our brother, friend, god-father, uncle, cousin, nephew, and with time, the pain may ease, however, the loss is something we will endure forever.
Timmy is survived by his sister Shari (Milne) and Robert Vandygriff, niece Kristi Vandygriff, nephews Nathan and Brad Vandygriff; brother Ted Milne, nephew Robbie Milne; brother Thomas Milne; brother David Milne; and sister Cyndi (Milne) Cederblom.
Timmy leaves behind many friends in CT, in particular his "family" Dawn (Kearns) and Richie
Dow of Seymour, CT; his god-daughter Elisha (Dow) and Enzo Zanturdino and their children Vienna and Jaxon; Nicole (Dow) and Pat Knauth and their children Kinsley and Skylar; and Katie (Dow) Taylor. Timmy loved and cherished Vienna, Jaxon, Kinsley, and Skylar as well as all of the other children at 'Aunties Little Rascals." Timmy is also survived by the love of his life, Tina Ross of New Haven, CT.
Timmy leaves behind many friends and family in VT, in particular his special "Auntie" Eunice (Kinne) Bergeron and his "beautiful cuz", Judy Bergeron, whom he completely adored.
A celebration of life will be held in both CT and VT at a later date in May. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Tim Milne to the Boys and Girls Club of LNV, 1 Positive PL., Shelton, CT 06484, where Timmy volunteered his time while in CT. Donations may also be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, 62 Oak St., Burlington, VT 05401.
Timmy was looking forward to returning to Vermont, where he loved walking the waterfront of Lake Champlain and all the beauty Vermont had to offer. He was especially excited about camping with family and friends this summer, speaking often about buying a camper and traveling with his cuz.
"I cried endlessly when you died, but I won't let the tears mar the smiles that you've given me when you were alive." Fly free my friend.
Mr. Milne is entrusted to the care of Lewis Crematory and Funeral Services, Myrtle Beach, SC.
