Shirley King Thatcher, age 76, of Longs, SC, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, August 14, 2021, after a courageous battle with Dementia.
Shirley was born March 18, 1945, in Charlotte, NC., to W.J. King and Clarence Delola Sizer. She is the founder and former owner of Beach Checker Cab.
Shirley is survived by her children: Delola (Dena) Lee, Paul Anthony Scoggins, Michael McPaul, and Brandon Suggs, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Shirley's children will have a small gathering of family and friends on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 345 Waccamaw River Dr., Conway, SC. doing what Shirley loved best, being with family and friends, with a bit of food, a whole lot of laughter, and the remedy her Doctor ordered, 3 beers a day.
