Miriam Emma Jones

JONES, MIRIAM E. (BECK), 94 died Thursday, August 19, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, SC.  She was born on February 22, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA.  She was raised in Atlantic City, NJ, and spent the rest of her active life in Atlantic County.  She was a resident of the Oaks at Weymouth in Mays Landing, NJ for over 21 years but recently living in South Carolina with her daughter and husband.

Miriam was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlantic City for most of her adult life, but attended Mays Landing Baptist Church for the past several years and more recently, South Strand Community Church in Myrtle Beach.

Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, Marion H. “Spud” Jones.

She has survived her children: Paul H. Jones (Gail), Linda Kennard (Joe) and Larry D. Jones (Laurie); her grandchildren: Michael, Brian, Todd, Danielle, Marc, Joshua, and Jonathan; her great-grandchildren: Emma, Liam, Paul, Drew, Darius, Maya, Aydan, Ransom, Naomi, Elijah, Rocco, and Anja; and of course, her beloved dog, Tinkerbelle.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the South Strand Community Church in Myrtle Beach at 11:00 AM.

A memorial service will also be held at Mays Landing Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 8th at 10:30 am. Private burial will be at Oceanville Cemetery

Mrs. Jones is entrusted to the care of Lewis Crematory and Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach.
