Jane Warnock Goodrich

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Lewis Crematory Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mrs. Jane Goodrich as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of Jordan with her.  Mrs. Goodrich got her ticket and stepped on that Morning Train bound for paradise early Saturday morning, January 7, 2023, at her residence with loving family by her side in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Jane Warnock Cairns Goodrich

October 27, 1939 – January 7, 2023

Jane Goodrich passed away on January 7, 2023, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Jane grew up the middle child and only daughter of Anne and William Cairns in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York.  She had an idyllic childhood with her brothers John and Donald and loved being a teenager in the 1950s.

Jane had six children (Dena, Debbie, Diana, Hayley, Robert, and Erik), 10 grandchildren (Joy, CJ, Steven, Noel, Bethany, David, Ricky, Michael, Zachary, and Blake), five great-grandchildren (Samantha, Isabelle, Tommy, Capri, and Carver), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her dearly.

Jane raised her six children as a single mother and instilled a strong work ethic and good values.  She worked her entire career in retail banking and retired at 70 years old.  However, she wasn’t content to sit at home and went to work for Home Instead taking care of elderly clients.  She only fully retired when she turned 80 years old.  She worked very hard, but always made time for fun.  Our house was always filled with laughter.  She was “Ma Goodrich” to all the neighborhood children and embraced our friends as her own.  She was the glue that held our family together and we are all devastated. 

We were so blessed to have her in our lives and are confident that we will be reunited someday.  We can only imagine the reunion in Heaven when she was greeted by all of her loved ones that have gone on before, including her grandsons, CJ and Steven.

Rest in Peace until we meet again.

Mrs. Goodrich is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC.
