James Sharpe Stanton was born in Washington DC, and began his career in finance after graduating from American University. He moved to Surfside Beach, SC several years ago to fulfill a wish of living near the ocean after retiring.

Jim is survived by sisters, Kathy, Marie, Sarah and Mary Margaret. Brothers, Patrick, John and David. Jimmy loved the outdoors. He was an advid diver, cyclist, runner, fisherman boatman and loved all sports. His greatest love was his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace
