Donald Edwin Aurandt Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald E. Aurandt Jr. announces his passing at the age of 74 on December 11, 2022, after a long battle with lung cancer

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Sue Constanzi Aurandt, and their children; Donald Patrick Aurandt and Rita Renee Aurandt, his sister, Judy A. Awtry, his brothers-in-law, and their families. He will also be missed by his little pup, Pippa.

Don was predeceased by his mother, Louise Renfro, and his sister, Jenesse Aurandt.

Don graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from his beloved Auburn University.  Before his retirement, Don had a long career with The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  He served as a Project Manager on various construction projects in the Middle East.

Don enjoyed exploring the world, football, walking/running, hiking, camping, tennis, golf, biking, reading, and the ocean.  He was also a talented artist and enjoyed playing his guitar.  He always kept us laughing with his dad jokes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Aurandt is entrusted to the care of Kelvin F. Lewis, Funeral Director, and Lewis Crematory & Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach, SC.
