Jesse Duke Gandee, the precious 6 day old baby boy of Matthew J. Gandee and Anna M. Gandee, ran into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

Just six days after entering this world, Jesse passed away in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. Like a shooting star, his soul shined brightly, touching so many lives, but that brightness was brief. He was loved by all. Against the many earthly struggles he faced inside his little body, his fighting spirit made a deep impression on family, friends, and his caregivers. Our shooting star went back, again, to now shine in the heavens and to be with God. Jesse Duke is survived by his parents Matthew and Anna Gandee, Loran Patton (aunt),  Lowary and Anita Patton (grandparents), Michael and Heather Gandee (grandparents),  Gary and Rose Mary Cline (great grandparents), Glenn and Norma Mann (great grandparents), "uncle" Michael Kellar, as well as several great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
